2 BEDROOMS
The master bedroom faces south, has a comfortable 1.5m wide king-sized bed, a mirrored wardrobe, and access to the sunny balcony. There's an additional security grille so you can sleep securely with the window open, and the protection of the mosquito screen!
The second bedroom faces east, also has a mosquito screen, has two comfortable single beds (truckle-style, see the photo gallery) and a wardrobe, and access to a small morning balcony, which is protected from wind, dust or rain by clear roll-down plastic windows.
Ample pillows and bed-linen are provided, even duvets, blankets and a hot water bottle for our winter guests!
LOUNGE-DINER
The lounge-diner is a spacious south-facing air-conditioned room, furnished with a comfortable sofa and a sofa-bed which folds out into a 1.1m double bed. There is a pine extending dining table which seats 4 to 6. A shelving unit houses a wide selection of CDs, DVDs, videos and books, mainly in English though some have subtitles in Nederlands or Spanish, a 26" TV, a video player, and a DVD / CD player. A 1.2m satellite dish feeds a free-view sky digi-box. There is no longer a telephone installed, but there are nearby cyber-cafes and public telephones, and coverage for mobile phone networks is excellent. The sliding doors have mosquito screen protection, and open into the covered area we call the 'toldo', a curtained conservatory on the south balcony (see the photo gallery).
KITCHEN
The north-facing kitchen, while not over-large, is bigger than in many other styles of apartments, and is well equipped with a family-sized fridge-freezer, washing machine, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, four ring vitro-ceramic hob, and an integral water filtration system for delicious safe drinking water - no need to lug bottles of water from the shops! The cupboards are stocked with basic consumables like seasoning, spices, olive oil & wine vinegar; condiments like tomato ketchup, malt vinegar, mayonnaise, Marie-rose sauce, pickles, varieties of mustard... English tea bags, herbal infusions, instant and ground coffee and milk. There is washing-up liquid, a brush and scrubber and also washing powder or liquid, clothes conditioner and other assorted necessary household cleaning products. The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival, and you can request that it is cleaned weekly, so you do not have to use these items, but they are there should they be needed!
There is also a 'Rainbow's End Welcome Basket' - to restore you after your travels, and particularly handy if you arrive when the supermarket is shut. A bottle per person of wine, beer, cider, cava or non-alcoholic drink, and a light snack to eat while you sit on the balcony, chill out, admire the view and decide what you fancy doing... Also in the fridge are butter or margarine, jams, marmalade, honey, milk, bread and fruit and chilled water - and of course the bottles, if they are best served chilled!
Ample crockery, cutlery, acrylic patio-ware and glasses for 6 people are provided, along with a set of pans and cooking utensils. Don't want to cook while you're here? If you request it, the freezer can be stocked with a choice from a range of top-quality prepared meals, individually packaged for maximum choice, ready to reheat from V.I.P. Ready Meals (www.vipreadymeals.com), and you can treat it like a'mini-bar' - we'll only charge for that you take. We can also arrange that the fridge and freezer are fully stocked for your arrival if you give us your shopping order at least 48 hours before your arrival.
You'll find an ironing board and a steam-iron in the kitchen, for when you want to dress up and take the travel creases out of your clothes, and we also provide oven gloves and cooking aprons to protect you whether you're dressed or naked!
Rainbow's End apartment has a smoke alarm, a kitchen fire blanket, and a fire extinguisher in the hallway, as well as a large one outside the apartment on the stairwell, for your safety. There is also a locking safe (strong-box) for the additional security of your valuables.
BATHROOM
The east-facing bathroom differs from others in the phase as it has a deeply luxurious hydro-massage (Jacuzzi style) bath fitted! There is a shower, with a large well-lit mirror for you to check out your tan! The window has a mosquito screen protecting you.
For your travelling convenience we provide family-sized shower and bath gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, shaving foam, razors, spray deodorants, Sun protection cream, toothpaste, hair spray, hair mousse, hair gel, a hair-dryer and plenty of bath towels. There's also a first aid kit and even emergency nappy and sanitary supplies. We also provide large plush beach towels, roll-up mats and a beach parasol (unlike many other apartments) we know how much room they take up, and we know you are here for the beach, or at least the lovely pool!
SUN BALCONY
Rainbow's End has a huge 35m² south facing sun-drenched balcony at first-floor level allowing a good level of privacy, with views over the gardens and toward the pool, yet it's not noisy in peak season. It is equipped with a minimum of 2 cushioned teak sun-loungers, a table and chairs. An additional feature is a curtained awning or 'conservatory' or 'toldo' covering an area of 10m², which provides optional shade when needed, and can be a dining area - with a table and 4 chairs.
Rainbow's End is a Non-smoking apartment, we politely request that you take this into consideration, and if you are a smoker, that you smoke in the 'toldo' (conservatory) or on the balcony. We do allow pets, please see the booking information page for more details.
SWIMMING POOLS & GARDENS
The swimming pool, children's paddling pool and gardens are for residents and their guests only. We ask you to respect that ParqueVera 5 urbanisation is naturist, please see the FAQs page for more information. The pedestrian and vehicular gates of this secure urbanisation are key operated.
PARKING
Parking is readily available on marked areas on the street alongside the urbanisation, and conveniently, right beside the pedestrian access closest to the apartment. There are also spaces and bicycle racks within the private closed parking area within the urbanisation - a key is available to renters.
